We got snow!

It almost never snows this far down south. We only get it every few years and we do not know how to act when we get it. I think it was around 2001 that it last snowed here, and we didn't get this much. We got 3" yesterday. It was beautiful! And it was still on the ground today. Very rare! Our snow usually doesn't stay on the ground, but turns to slush as soon as it hits. And let me tell you, we do NOT know how to drive in snow! HaHa! Wrecks abounded. Schools didn't decide until almost the last minute to cancel, and some buses had already started to make their rounds. I saw at least 2 in my neighborhood. My electricity went out before 11:00 a.m. yesterday and didn't come back on until this afternoon. I still have no phone. We had to run the generator last night to have heat, hot water, and keep our food from spoiling. That thing sounds like a jackhammer outside our window and we didn't sleep well. Ah, well, it's a slushy mess out there now after the sun shined all day!

This was fun! It's been years since I've taken a typing test. I'm a computer geek now, and I was probably well on my way to becoming a computer geek in high school, even though there there WERE no computers back then! Typing was my favorite subject in high school, followed by English. I guess they kind of go hand in hand. Anyway, this was fun!
